just wanted to let you guys know for those that are using windows blinds or any of those other programs that slow down the computer while giving you the vista look... here's how to actually use vista as a theme without slowing you down. nice write up step by step as well

i wasnt too sure about it at first but as much as i've read the instructables website they dont usually put junk on there. so i went ahead and did it and have noticed no performance change at all. I am running xp and have no problems at all with anything i have been doing. It runs the same as xp(granted i havent gone through and done the speed fixes to different things that it explains in the tutorial) but to answer your question, yes it works exactly the way it says in the writeup. couldnt be any easier than dragging items from folder to folder and following step by step instructions

no.. you dont have to use windowblinds at all. it uses the "Run UXTheme Multi-Patcher 5.5" which basically allows you to use your own themes other than windows authorized ones.. windows tries to stop you from doing so during it too. then you can just install the theme and use it like any others
